Born in Amarillo, TX, Kathy has been singing publicly since the age of 3. She began her study of piano, voice and theory at the age of nine at the Amarillo Arts Conservatory with Mark and Carol Lynn. She has continued those studies throughout her life, a student of such well respected vocal coaches as Charles Smith, Finis and Ida Lou Whitten, Ron Key, Sterling Price and Mark Carroll. Kathy has also produced numerous theatrical projects and events for the Hilton Brand, Amarillo Civic Center, Amarillo Convention Bureau and the National Old-Timers Rodeo Association. She has worked advance and promotional operations with such acts as Lawrence Welk, Alabama, Willie Nelson, The Oakridge Boys and many others. She has led teaching and training workshops for the Hilton Brand, Amarillo Civic Center, Amarillo Convention Bureau, Fifth Seasons Brand and numerous workshops for Avon Products as a District Manager. Kathy currently teaches group lessons at UT Arlington in addition to Heartland School of Music. She has been with Heartland School of Music for the past 10 years where she teaches and produces numerous workshops and recitals. Kathy also serves as Bible Study leader, singer and Praise team leader with Mission Arlington since 1991. She is also currently producing and performing with her husband (Pat Nobles) in a Smiling Dog Production of "The Heartland Radio Hour" and is presently touring local retirement homes and bible studies. Kathy is a gifted musician and teacher whose students achieve consistent success. She loves music and showing her students the JOY that music brings to everyone's lives.
