Kathy is a Master Instructor and teaches singing, voice, piano and keyboard lessons in Arlington, TX. She has been teaching and performing for many years in Texas. She produced and managed many shows for the Hilton Dinner Theater for a number of years. Kathy has also promoted large venue concerts for very well known artists such as Kenny Rogers, Willie Nelson, Wayne Newton and Lawrence Welk. She continues a 17+ year volunteer position as a Staff Musician for Mission Arlington and also teaches classes at UT Arlington. A native Texan, she has taught, coached and mentored countless students of all ages, levels and abilities. Kathy studied with Mark and Carol Lynn, affiliates of the New York Metropolitan Opera, and teaches basic and advanced vocal techniques to strengthen and protect voices while developing the singing style unique to each student.

          Kathy coaches and teaches Country, Christian, Classical, Broadway, Pop and Rock genres. She also coaches stage presence with emphasis on increased confidence and performance abilities for both beginner and advanced students. She combines her experience with the heart and soul of the music and the style of the student to make everyone a STAR! Kathy insists on excellence in both customer service and work ethic.

The SING IT NOW! Program

Basic Singing Skills-The beginner is introduced to simple skills of opening the mouth, saying and singing words more clearly, vocal warmups at the piano, word exercises, breathing exercises, karaoke singing, and microphone use. All students are encouraged to sing to an audience.
The continued use of basic skills to master the Beginner level and move to the Intermediate level. Dynamics and projection will be introduced. Learn to manage your voice.
The continued use of basic skills to master the Intermediate level and move to the Advanced Level. Dynamic shading, note travel, and styling will be introduced.
The continued use of basic skills to master the Advanced level and move to the Master level. Singing on a regular basis. How to find every opportunity to make your voice and your song special. Song interpretation will be studied.

BEGINNER CLASSES-For all ages! A traditional method of theory and reading notes to play piano and keyboard. Bastien books are used as well as Faber and Alfred. Homework is assigned at every lesson to help the student master the weekly lesson and achieve a successful level of playing the piano and keyboard.

INTERMEDIATE CLASSES-For all ages! Continuing the use of all the beginner level curriculum and adding more challenging levels of theory and playing opportunities.
